With over 15 years of Private Medical Practice behind her, Carole is keen to continue to deliver easy access personalised healthcare in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

Having qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1988, her training having taken her to Australia, New Zealand and Nepal, she then worked as an NHS GP in south Edinburgh.

She came to the private sector after a year spent improving her level of Spanish in Barcelona.

Her interests include Travel medicine, diabetes and cardiovascular medicine.

She achieved a distinction in the University of Warwick Diploma in Diabetes in 2000.

In 2004 she completed an Allergy Degree Module through the National Respiratory Training Centre at the University of Warwick. Carole has also worked as a GP Specialist in Allergy at Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow.


Dr McAlister can also advise on Altitude Medicine, having worked for a trekking season for the Himalayan Rescue Association in Nepal.
